Child Advocate & Student Rights

  • Representation of the child in Family Court proceedings to ensure that their voice and best interests are heard and upheld independent of the wishes of the parent.

  • Representation of victims of bullying, harassment, or abuse in schools in pursuit of accountability and institutional reform.

  • Representation of students with special education needs through the administrative process and, where needed, litigation to secure necessary accommodations and school placements.

Employment & Labor Protections

  • Representation of employees with ERISA claims, including those arising from wrongful benefit denials, breach of fiduciary duties, or retaliation following the exercise of rights under the plan.

  • Representation of employees subject to workplace misconduct, including discrimination, retaliation, harassment, bullying, hostile work environment, improper or excessive surveillance, constructive discharge, wrongful termination, or equal pay violations.

  • Representation of employees with claims arising from breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duties, or fraudulent conduct.

Elder Care & Guardianships

  • Representation of the alleged incapacitated person (AIP) in guardianship proceedings to ensure that their best interests are upheld through consideration of least restrictive alternatives.

  • Appointment as court evaluator in guardianship proceedings to conduct independent investigations into the condition of the AIP and claims made in guardianship applications.

  • Representation of victims of elder abuse or fraud in pursuit of the recovery of lost personal assets, accountability, and institutional reform.

Public Interest Actions & Reforms

Ongoing focus includes (not exhaustive):

  • the repeal of state filial responsibility laws that, if enforced, would impose an unjustified shift of healthcare and other financial costs belonging to the parent onto the child.

  • the application of tort, criminal, and other laws to case facts and theories centered on patient overdosage or erroneous administration and tapering of psychotropic medication in polypharmacy.

  • the pursuit of accountability following the overturning of an unjust and wrongful conviction or injury arising from police or prosecutorial misconduct.

  • the limitations or prohibitions on the use of bankruptcy rules and procedures by companies and individuals to minimize or avoid liability to tort or fraud victims.

  • the investigation and litigation of claims arising from deceptive or fraudulent business practices.
